Written by Farhad Safinia and co-produced by Gus Van Sant, Boss is wonderfully sharp and nuanced TV series. It beautifully fuses Gus Van Sant’s sublime visual language seen in Elephant, Paranoid park and Gerry with incredibly visceral characters and intense power struggle that is taking place in Chicago mayor’s office. Currently there is one season consisting of eight episodes first of which is directed by Gus Van Sant himself.
